Electric Underfloor Heating Systems

Electric Underfloor Heating Systems are available in a variety of options, including pre laid and spaced cable on a mesh underfloor heating mat, making installation even easier. Underfloor heating loose cable allows you lay and space the cable to your desired heat output. Both options are suitable for laying underneath tiled flooring. The cable is 2mm thin, making it perfect for installing on existing sub floors, with minimal floor height increase. The kits are easy to install, but we always recommend use of a qualified electrician. To ensure the maximum heat, lay our XPS insulation boards, or tile backer boards on the subfloor first.

Underfloor Heating Water Systems

Underfloor heating Water Systems work in conjunction with your central heating, where warm water is pushed through a system of pipes to heat up a room. Using a single length of pipe means there is less chance of a leak. As the central heating system doesn’t have to heat the water to as high a temperature as a radiator, your water heating costs will be lower over a period of time. There are options of a single room, or multi room/ zone system. A Multi zone water kit is suitable when you want to control different zones at different temperatures and times, with each zone being controlled individually using actuators, wiring centre and thermostat. It is suitable for a wide range of projects, whether a new build, renovation or single area.

Underfloor Heating Aluminium Foil Mats

Underfloor heating aluminium foil mats are suitable for all types of wooden floors, including; laminate, floorboards, solid wood and engineered wood. Flooring thickness must not exceed 18mm. This type of mat is not suitable for vinyl and carpet.. The cable is 2mm thin, and pre-woven into a 500mm wide foil mesh, making it perfect for installing on existing floors, with minimal floor height increase. The kits are easy to install, but we always recommend use of a qualified electrician. To ensure the maximum heat, lay our XPS insulation boards, or tile backer boards on the subfloor first.

XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) underfloor heating insulation boards are designed specifically to provide an insulation barrier underneath electric underfloor heating systems. It can easily be fitted on top of concrete/screeded and stable wooden floors. The boards are Light weight, high efficiency , thermal highly compressed boards. They measure 1200mm x 600mm (0.72m²) and available in 6mm and 10mm thicknesses.

Tile backed boards provide first class heat insulation fore underfloor heating and superb waterproof

surface to afix tiles. These premium engineered boards are XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) board coated with a reinforced cement based flexible mortar ensuring the easiest of fitting and tiling. They are  perfect for wooden/subfloors on top of joists. They measure 1200mm x 600mm (0.72m²) and available in 6mm and 10mm thicknesses.
